I got a Thai bamboo tattoo done a few months ago. Normally these are done by the Thai monks at the temples and they believe that the tattoos have magical powers.

The design that I got is normally the first tattoo that Thai people will get, and it is believed it will protect them from injury and illness.

Unfortunately due to the tattoos done in the temple not being clean, the monks do not change the needles or ink between people, I had mine done in a normal tattoo shop. Therefore it has not been blessed and does not have the magical powers.

I really love getting tattooed by bamboo, I don't think it hurts as much as machine. [/img]
